Early C19 facade but said to have some internal timber framing. Red brick, the
south side slate hung. Slate roof. 3 storeys. 2 windows sashes with glazing
bars, those of 1st floor with segmental arches. Ground floor has modern shop fronts
under cornice across facade. Included for group value.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos land 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
