C18. Grey headers with red brick window dressings quoins and stringcourse. Tiled
roof. 2 storeys. 2 windows, modern casements in old window spaces. Trellised
wooden porch and door of 8 moulded panels. 1 storey 1 window outshut to south
west side and 1 storey 4 bay wing to north east side, the outer bay now occupied
by garage doors.
The Nook, Nos 1 to 4 (consec) (Nook Cottage) Blacksmiths House and The Old Smithy
at The Forge form a group with Nos 1 and 2, Wellside Cottage (the latter two are
buildings of local interest).
