SU 63 NE BENTWORTH HIGH STREET

7/4 Service block attached to
Manor Lodge

GV II

Stable and store. Early C19. Flint and boarded walls, and slate roof. A
narrow range, beginning as a small symmetrical stable block (now the north end)
but extended to link with the house. The simple roof ties with the house wing.
The stable part has a hayloft door above an entrance, with a lunette window on
each side, the remainder of the range having irregular openings, with the upper
wall being boarded and the lower of flint. A small east wing at the south end
touches the taller wing of the house. Included for group value.
