Underpass at Tweseldown Racecourse
Racecourse underpass. Late C19, built to take spectators on to the other side of the racecourse without trampling the course. Built in Flemish bond brickwork with black engineering brick to the coping. The retaining walls on each side enclose a flight of steps leading down to a tunnel with an elliptical arch of header bond brickwork with metal gates.
