House. C17 and C18. Brick and tile. Refaced timber framed structure; the
front (south east) is regular, of 2 storeys and attic, 3 (1 blank).1.2 upper and
3 lower windows. Plain roof. Walls of Flemish bond, 1st floor bond, rubbed
flat arches to the ground floor, plinth; slightly projecting entrance bay
(once central?). Sashes in exposed frames; the upper part west side bay is now
filled as a brick panel and contains a carved figure of a saint (c1900), on a
stone bracket, beneath a moulded cornice on brackets. Porch of 2 columns, 2
pilasters, with simple mouldings of Greek style, and C20 ½ glazed door. The
north-east elevation shows a rear wing attached to the gable end of the main
block, and much of this has exposed framing, some of it tile-hung; with brick
infill, and a later (C18) extension with brick walls in Flemish bond, with
ground floor cambered openings; leaded casements and a 6-panelled (4 glazed)
door.
