3/12 Pepperbox Cottage

Cottage. C17, with late C18 cladding and late C20 restoration and extension.
Timber-framed building, with a thatched roof. Front (north-west) of 1 storey
and attic, 2 above 3 windows. Hipped roof, with eaves lowered at each end
above outshots, eyebrow dormers, lower roof with gables to the two C20 rear
wings. Exposed frame, mainly in the upper walls, with bricknogging and other
walls of brickwork in Flemish bond. Casements, some early C19 cast-iron frames.
Boarded door in a plain frame, with a thatched canopy on posts.
