6/8 Box Cottage


Cottage. Late C18, with mid C19 extension. Brick and thatch. Front (south)
of 1 storey and attic, 2 above 4 windows. Roof ½-hipped at the east end (with
exposed framing in the gable), hipped at the west end and brought to a low eaves
above an outshot, eaves raised above the upper windows, catslide at rear. Walls
of painted brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall bond, 1st floor band, plinth.
Casements. C20 brick porch with a tiled roof.
