2 dwellings, formerly one (replaced by nearby Victorian mansion). C16, C17,
early C18, and early C19. Brick and tile. A late medieval timber-framed house
(reclad at the east front) with 2-storeyed cross wing at the north side, and a
substantial C17 timber-framed extension at the rear (reclad on the south side
in the early C19); east elevation of 2 storeys, 5.1 (3 upper and lower blank)
windows. Plain roof, with shafted stack, lower gable at the slightly projected
north side. The crosswing has exposed framing (with a north side of 2 bays with
arch bracing) with brick infill (top panels rendered) on its north face, the
east gable being mostly tile-hung above exposed framing; the main part of the
east front has early C18 brickwork in Flemish bond, with 1st floor band, rubbed
flat arches, and plinth. Mullion and transom leaded lights. Plain doorway with
2-panelled door, beneath a gabled hood. The north wall of the rear wing has
massive exposed framing and the south side brickwork in Monk bond, with cambered
openings, the gable (south end of the east front) being tile-hung with decorative
bands, above brickwork in English bond. Casements. 2 boarded doors (north and
south) in the rear extension.
