SU 83 NW HEADLEY SPATS LANE

8/20 Old Cottage

House. C16, with C20 restoration. Mixed walling materials, and a tile roof.
The long east elevation is 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Plain roof, central
shafted stack, with 2 ½-dormers, having wide cambered eyebrows. Tile-hung
upper walls, the lower with exposed framing (bricknogged) above a stone base.
Casements, all different. The north elevation has exposed framing in the old
gable (tile-hung to the attic), and there is a C20 west side wing, with tradit-
ional features, and a large porch.
