SU 83 SW HEADLEY STANDFORD LANE

House. C17, late C18, and late C19. Stone and tile. House of timber-framed
origin, but reclad in the C18 and C19. The front (south-west) is Victorian,
symmetrical of 2 storeys, 2 windows. Roof ½-hipped at the north side and
hipped at the south, with gables above the upper windows. Rendered walls, with
a plinth. Casements, 2 rectangular bays linked by a tiled canopy. Plain door.
The south-east elevation has stone walls with brick quoins and plinth, indicating
changed features, 2 above 1 casements, and a boarded door beneath a canopy: the
roof is ½-hipped at the north-east side, with a catslide at the rear.
