SU 73 NW CHAWTON WINCHESTER ROAD

2/13 Thatch Cottage

(Formerly listed as two cottages
12.6.74 adjoining Chawton Lodge)

Former pair, now one dwelling. C18, early C19, and C20. Most of the front
wall has exposed timber-framing with brick infill, the east side being brickwork
of Flemish bond, with blue headers, cambered openings. Hipped thatched
roof, eyebrow dormers; tiled roof to the west side outshot (C20 garage).
North front: 1 storey and attic; 3 above 6 windows. Casements, one replacing
a former doorway. Boarded door in a plain frame.
