SU 72 SW BURITON WESTON LANE

3/12 Barn at Weston Farm

7.8.85 II

Range of barns, forming an L-shape. Early C18 timber frame of eight bays, with
aisle on one side and entrances (on the other) at the third and sixth bay. Tall
Queen Post Truss with angled struts and curved braces. Boarded walls. Half-
hipped tile, roof, hipped above the projecting waggon entrances. Late C18 timber
frame of four bays with aisles to the long sides, Queen Post Truss, boarded walls,
and half-hipped tile roof. These two barns, at right-angles, are linked by an
early C19 structure of similar form, with walls boarded above malmstone, and a
tile roof.
