SU 71 SW ROWLANDS CASTLE FINChDEAN

9/17 Chapel

GV II

Congregational church. Former stable (C18) to Finchdean House, converted to
chapel 1830. Walls of brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall bond, with exposed framing
in the gables. Half-hipped tile roof. Cast-iron 'Tudor' casements; three coupled
windows to the south side. The west end has a circular (slightly-later) window
between lozenge openings, containing diamond bars within a cusped frame. The east
end has a pointed window above a plain doorway, flanked by narrow windows. Open
C20 porch.
