Service house to Downlands. C16, early C19 and late C19. Mixed walling; east
front Victorian red brickwork in English bond, with cambered openings and carstone
at the south side with brick dressings: the south wall is carstone with brick
quoins, the west is mostly stone but part of the upper wall has exposed framing,
the north end wall has exposed framing in the upper part above a stone wall. Tile
roof, hipped and half-hipped, with two small gabled half-dormers. A timber-framed
smoke-bay house, with recladding of different dates, and restoration; front of one
and a half storeys, irregular fenestration. C20 casements. Three boarded doors.
