Chancel and ruined nave of the medieval church. C13. Aisleless nave and chancel.
The chancel has a tiled roof and cement-rendered walls (on malmstone and ironstone),
the chancel arch (C18 and filled except for a plain doorway) is oval with a
keystone and impost blocks. The nave is roofless, with malmstone walls of varied
height, but the arrangement of openings is clearly marked. The interior (of the
chancel) has a Jacobean communion rail, an old font bowl, and wall monuments of
1772, 1785, 1786, 1821 and 1867. The chief feature is the tomb of Dame Marjory
Caryll (died 1632), comprising a recumbent effigy on a classical alabaster table
tomb, with a wall monument at its rear, with a Corinthian Order enclosing an arched
