2/1 Brick kiln south of
Brick kiln. Circa 1850, fired until 1939. Brick 'Suffolk' type
rectangular chamber with raised perforated floor. 3 wide flues beneath for
furze or faggot fuel. Kiln fired open topped. Loading door at 'up-hill'
end, and 3 flue mouths in a 'stoke hole' at 'down-hill' end. Only
surviving example of this type of kiln in the country.
