Terrace of coastguard cottages. Mid C19 with late C19/early C20 additions.
Yellow brick, slate-hung to front, slate roof. 2 storey, four 2 bay
cottages with L-shaped cottage at one end having top of L facing forward
and attached to other cottages and bottom sticking out, and at other end
slightly projecting and taller cottage. Each original cottage has central
plank door under fanlight in timber sided, gable-roofed weather-porch.
Each side on both floors 2-light casement. To RH added L-shaped cottage
has similar casements in bay attached to end of others and in projecting
bay. At LH end other cottage has similar and roof hipped to front. Main
roof hipped to RH. Stacks between original cottages, at their LH end and
over attached bay of RH addition.
