Hotel. Mid C19. Red and yellow brick, painted weatherboarding, slate roofs
behind parapet. 2 storey, 3 bay with lower 2 storey one wide bay flanking
wings, and single storey service range attached to one of them. Front has
central red brick block. To right hand bay has 6-panel large door with ½-glazed
side panel, all under rectangular 4-pane fanlight. Above moulded hood. Five
12-pane sashes under segmental yellow gauged brick arches. Yellow brick frieze
and modillioned cornice to low parapet. Either side flanking bays of yellow
brick giant pilasters supporting entablature. Between weatherboarding,
containing to right hand tripartite window of 12-pane sash and flanking thin
4-pane sashes, with 9-pane window over. To left hand C20 15-pane window and
9-pane window over. Entablature of wide frieze and moulded cornice with low
parapet. To left hand end single storey red brick addition.
