Walls around kitchen gardens. C18, altered C19 and C20. Brick. Plan of 2 approx.
square kitchen gardens, running north from the service courtyard behind one of the
projecting pavilions (qv). Each garden about 50m square. Walls 3m high with inclined
brick coping. South wall of first garden is rear wall of service building for ½
length with archway at house end and then walling enclosing area between kitchen
gardens and house. Far wall of nearer garden has C19 glass houses against it,
and in one corner archway through to far garden, which is divided in 4 by paths.
