9/4 Forest Lodge


Cottage. Late C15, extended C18, remodelled 1975. Cruck timber-frame, encased in
brick, pebbledashed ; thatch roof, brick stacks. Single storey, 2 bay cruck part
with 1½ storey 2 bay addition with 3 bay wing behind. Front has old part to LH,
with at RH eaves rising to rest and RH set-back under eaves. C20 1, 2 & 3-light
casement in each bay and in eyebrow dormer to RH of centre. Roof half-hipped to
LH with external end stack, large stack in front of ridge in centre, to RH ridge
ramps up. Roof hipped to RH end.
