SU 10 NW ELLINGHAM, HARBRIDGE & IBSLEY ELLINGHAM

4/20 Ellingham Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Possibly earlier core to late C17 building, altered C18 and C19. Brick
with stone quoins, slate roof. 2 storey, 4 bay C17 front range with taller,
possibly older wing to rear at one end, and early C19 wing to side of this wing,
forming shaped house. Front has to LH of centre, C19 square-plan flat-roof
porch with double doors under cambered arch and windows on sides. In other bays
16-pane sashes under rubbed brick arahes. On 1st floor in all but RH of centre
bay, 2-light casements. Coved plaster eaves. Roof hipped. At LH end of ridge
small hip to higher wing, and on ridge of wing large L-section stack. LH wing
of 4 bar, similar, with plank door and 2-light casements.
