15/15 Wall around south of church-
yard of St Peter and St Paul


Retaining wall, including safe. C18. Brick, stone coping, cast-iron safe. Wall
runs round south and west of churchyard and is 1-1½m high. Offset plinth and
piers where wall changes direction. Rounded stone coping. Safe in wall near
south-east corner, rectangular divided into 2 panels with money slit in centre
above inscription 'Ringwood Parish 1813' and on panels lions masks and names of
vicar and churchwardens. It was placed there as a result of Roses' Act of 1812,
and is a rare survival.
