Public house. Late C17, remodelled c1825, front altered c1867, restored 1985.
Brick, painted, and rendered to front, old plain tile roof, slate roof to front
range. 2 storey and attic, L-plan of 3 bay front and 2 bay wing to rear at one
end, and thinner 2 storey bay added to that end, as well as additions to side of
wing. Front has central square plan porch with rustications and round-headed
opening with vermiculated keystone. Over and in RH bay C19 sashes with narrow-edge
panes. To LH bay 2 storey cented bay with similar sashes to front and narrow
sashes on sides. Raised rusticated quoins. Timber paired-bracketted eaves cornice.
End stacks. LH added bay has C20 3-light window and fanlight under cambered arch.
