GV II

Terrace wall. 1891 by W R Lethaby. Brick and stone. Running in front of whole
garden facade. Brick walls with stylised stone balustrade of turned balusters and
square-section newel and base and hand-rail. Approx. central flight of 10 stone
steps. Either side brick piers at end of balustrades, on these stone cylinder
with ropework decoration. Stone wall either side of steps with round end piers
having similar cylinders. Wall turns corner at one end, above lower terraces.
