Lodge and gateway. Mid C19. Brick,some stone dressings, plain tile roof. 2
storey, T-plan building, end onto road, stem being long 2 storey porch pointing
towards drive with gateway built onto pointed end of it, with far gatepier having
C19 'holy well'. Road front has to porch wing plinth wall and 3 brick piers
supporting 1st floor, over armorial tablet. End of porch has large pointed central
pier supporting 1st floor oriel window and gable wall. Diagonally set stack at
junction with main range, which has rounded end with 3 tall casements on ground
floor and 3 casements over. Sill string which carries round porch to oriel window.
Stepped cornice. Rounded end to roof. Along far side 2 large shaped external
stacks.
