SU 11 NE BREAMORE THE MARSH

6/34 Swiss Cottage and
Marsh Gate

II

Two cottages. C16 timber frame, with early C19 east side extension and
mid C19 west side extension. Partly-exposed frame with rendered and brick
infill, west side of brickwork in Flemish garden wall bond. Thatched roof,
eyebrow dormers, hipped at the east end and brought to a low eaves above
an outshot: tile roof at the west end, with gable above the upper window.
South front of two storeys and one storey with attic, 1.3 windows. Early
C19 cast-iron casements. Plain C20 open porches.
