House. C16 timber-framed house, with C18 recladding and extensions, and
C19 alterations, additions (and subtractions). Walls of brickwork (some
mathematical tiles) in Flemish and other bonds, half-timbered fronts to
large dormers. Tile roof, two gabled dormers. Two storeyed symmetrical
east front. Sashes in exposed frames, casements to dormers. Six-panelled
door beneath a flat hood. The house is named after Admiral Rook. Atrear
chalk cob wall around garden.
