5/74 Old Cottage


Cottage. C17 and early C19. Timber-frame with brick infill, cob
rebuilding and additions, thatch roof. End onto road 3 bay cottage,
1½ storey, with lower addition on side at road end. Road end has plank
door in centre under rustic tiled porch. Casement on both floors each
side and in addition to RH. Roof half-hipped with ridge stack between
road and centre bays. Side has door in far bay and 2-light casements,
eyebrow dormer beside door and roof swept-down at far end.
