Mill. Cl8 altered and extended C19. Brick in Flemish bond. Old plain tile and
slate roof. 2 storey, 2 bay mill with 2½ storey one wide bay C19 addition at one
end and C19 house (not included) at the other end. Front has C19 bay to right
hand with external Armfield of Ringwood cast-iron undershot wheel. At left-hand
end of older part is C19 plank door in solid frame, 2-light casement beside and 2
more in other bay. On 1st floor: large 2-light and small 1-light casement to left
bay: large and small 2-light casement to right bay; several S-shape tie plates and
a long iron plate above centre bay windows. To right hand bay 9-pane casement and
higher eaves. Inside much of machinery remains and part is being restored. Mill
race runs towards old part of building before turning through a right-angle in
front of centre bay and undershooting wheel.
