(Formerly listed as Ruined
GV Building East of Manor House)
Ruined domestic building, attached wall and cartshed against it. Ruin C16,
wall of C17, cartshed C18. Ruin and wall rubble flint and stone, some
stone dressings, brick repairs, cartshed timber-frame, end bays
weatherboarded, plain tile roof. Ruin of 5 bay C16 house of some size,
remains of stone mullion windows. Wall 3m high runs for some 50m and
encloses another side of garden around Manor House. On other side 7 bay
cartshed of timber post on padstone, end bays enclosed and hipped roof.
Ruined building is a scheduled Ancient Monument. VCH; vol IV; p581-2.
