Rectory now private house. C18 altered early and late C19. Brick, plain tile
roof. 2 storey and attic, originally 3 x 3 bay, one end now has full-height
bays and wing to rear elevation, other has wing. Entrance front has central
6-panel door in pedimented doorcase. Over 4-pane sash in lugged frame. In
other bays 4-pane sashes under rubbed arches hipped with 2-light hip-roofed dormers
set between bays. Stack on return ridge of roof. To LH, set back C19 2 storey,
2 bay hip-roofed wing. RH end has 2 C19 2 storey canted bays with french windows
and 4-pane sashes under rubbed arches. Shutters on 1st floor. Similar dormers on
hipped roof with stack at end of ridge. To far end 2 storey wing with canted bay
window and shuttered sash over. Residence of Rev. William Gilpin 1777-1788.
