6/19 Wall in front of Elcombes
and Little Elcombes

GV II

Wall along roadside with gateway. C18, rebuilt Cl9. Brick, timber gate. Wall
some 70m long runs east-west in front of house, but centre part of wall lining
up with porch of house curves inwards towards house with gateway in middle. Wall
about 2m high with square brick piers and tile and soldier course coping. In
centre piers at either end of short length set at angle and part with gate parallel
to rest. Wall rises over gateway in arch. Rounded archway with gate that could
be C18 of square lower panel and lugged upper panel under semi-circular opening
with turned radiating bars.
