Walk House

GV II

Gatehouse. Early C20. Brick, tilehung upper walls, plain tile roof. 1½ storey
single bay domestic parts either side of narrow open centre with raised eaves.
In centre is carriageway with wrought-iron open work gates. Tilehanging carries
round to run along either side of this bay, under raised eaves. Bays each side
have 4-light casement near outside end and on corner each side of entranceway
at eaves level, 2-light hip-roofed dormer with tilehung outer side that carries
on as wall on sides of carriageway. Roof hipped with stack on LH end of ridge.
In front, low walls with stone copings and iron rail on 8 carved timber posts
run forward from each side of carriageway.
