Monument commemorating death of King William II. 1745 by Earl De La Warr,
encased 1841 by Sturges Bourne. Stone encased in cast iron. Standing tapering
pillar of square section with raised rounded corners and top, inscriptions on
each face. Erected on supposed spot of oak tree off which glanced arrow that
killed William Rufus in 1100.
