Chapel and lower part of St. John's rooms C13. Flint and stone. The
ground floor of St. John's Rooms has C13 lancet window and was the original
hall of the hospital. 1st floor and upper floor C18. Stone cornice above
1st floor window. Upper floor brick stuccoed, with stone dressings.
Hipped old tile roof. Ground floor lancet window and arched doorway.
The chapel has six lancet windows. The upper floors have six sash windows
with glazing bars, those on the first floor have Gibbs surrounds. Cornice
between floors. Parapet, very steep pitch roof. The original spaces
in them are divided up. Two tablets by Eric Gill.
