SU 53 SE ITCHEN STOKE AND OVINGTON ITCHEN STOKE

8/9 Yew Tree Cottage

GV II

Cottage. C17, remodelled mid C20. Timber-frame with plaster and brick
infill, roof thatched. End on to road, 1½ storey, 2 bay with lean-to
at far end and rear. Frame with large diagonal braces, ground floor re-
built in brick with C20 windows. Above 4 eyebrow dormers with 2-light
casements, one much larger. Roof half-hipped with ridge piece and ridge
brick stack over road bay.
