SU 53 SE ITCHEN STOKE AND OVINGTON OVINGTON

Pair of cottages. C17, C18 & Early C19. Timber-frame with wattle and daub
and brick infill, partially rebuilt in brick and rubble flint with brick
additions, roof asbestos-cement slates, clay ridge tiles, brick stacks.
End on to road, 2 bay C17 building with centre smoke bay at rear end with
C18 bay and early C19 bay added to far end. 2 storey, 4 bay, door at left
end of C17 part, C19 with 3-light casement on right, and 2-light casements.
To left, door at right end of C19 bay, C20 windows either side, one with
camber head and above 2 C19 wide 2-light casements with blue header 1st
floor band to left bay. Outshots to rear. Road end is brick faced with 2
C19 windows. Roof half-hipped with large 2-flue ridge stack over smoke
bay, ridge stack between later bays and stack on left hip. C17 part empty
for 13 years, but maintained.
