5/2 Old Mill House


House. Mid C18 with C19 additions. Brick with tiled roof. Entrance front
symmetrical. 2 storey, 3 bay with, to gables, upstand walls, end stacks,
and beyond added bay with hipped roof and diaper pattern brickwork.
Original part has brick plinth with stone dressings and central project-
ing late C19 gabled porch, with C18 6 panelled fielded door in later
doorcase with fanlight. Windows all C18 3-light camber headed casements,
except for single light window over door and right ground floor windows
which are C19 tripartite casements. Original part has offset toothed cor-
nice with the-side bays having just an offset string course. Original
part has 3 C19 hipped dormers with 2-light casements. C19 extensions to
rear. 5m to left is C18/C19 timber-frame, weatherboarded, thatched stable-
