8/60 The Hurdle House


Hurdle House. Circa 1864. Flint with brick dressings, slate roof. Rectangular
block with brick lacing bands, quoins, window and door surrounds, circular
latticed air vents. A rare type of building, for the accommodation of hurdles
for the annual sheep fair, which was moved to this field in 1864.
