Early C19 terrace. Flint, brick, and slate roof. 2 storeys, 1 window to each
unit.Walling now painted, brickwork in Flemish bond, Nos 34 and 36 have flint
walling with brick quoins and vertical bands, rubbed flat arches to slightly-
cambered ground-floor openings. Sashes in reveals, upper sashes in exposed
frames to Nos 36 and 40, modern upper casement to 44. No 32 has a shopfront
with a rectangular bay (having a moulded cornice and a frieze), Nos 40 and 42
have modern angular bays with cornices, the angular bay to 44 has a tiled
canopy, extending over the doorway. Nos 40 and 42 have original doorways, with
thin open pediment on scroll brackets, thin pilasters and 6-panelled door:
plain doorways to 34, 36 and 38, modern panelled door to 44. The rear has tile-
hung walling and slate-roofed single-storeyed outshots, the east gable has
bricknogged light framing, the west gable (facing Brandy Mount) has a flint
wall with brick dressings, a rounded corner, and slate-hung gable.
