House. C17,C18,C19. Painted brick, roughcast to side and rear, with tile roof.
2 storeys and attic, front (north) of 3 windows. Building of timber-framed
origin (and fragmentary internal remains), extended and reclad in brickwork
(English bond), now painted on the front, 1st floor band, plinth. Sashes-in
exposed frames: one ground-floor casement in former entrance position. Door-
case with pediment, fluted frieze (with centre circle), console brackets
broken cornice and above narrow pilasters, 6-panelled (2-top-glazed) door. The
east elevation (to the corner with Jacklyns Lane) has roughcast walling, upper
casements, and on the ground-floor one angular bay with sashes and a wide
later rectangular bay, with casements. At the rear, the walling is carried up
to form a gable, above the staircase well. Few interior features, but a
panelled door with architrave and decorative frieze, and the remains of an old
fireplace bressumer beam.
