(Chestnut Cottage)

GV II

House. C18. Rendered walls, and tile roof. 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows.
The roof is hipped at the west end, there are brick dentil eaves and a
modern central flat-roofed dormer. Casements above 3-light sashes. Doorcase
with moulded hood on scroll brackets, and an 8-panelled (4-top-glazed) door.
The small forecourt abuts the north retaining wall of the medieval bridge,
east of the archway, and has wrought-iron rails along the front.
