House now 3 cottages. Early C16 & C17. Timberframe with brick and some wattle
and daub infill, roof thatched and plain tiled. 3-bay hall house with C17 wing
attached at the rear to the service, right, end. Screens passage filled by
stack, and doorway bricked-up, to the left of it rubble plinth. 1½ storeys,
jettied at either end. Planked door to right of screens with 2 small 2-light
casements to right. In right end of left bay planked door with 2-light case-
ment either side and small 2-light pantry window at end. Above 3 late C19
tiled, gabled dormers with 2-light casements. Half hipped roof tiled with
thatched ridge and rear face. Large ridge stack off-centre and 2 modern stacks
near each end. Jetties have carved corner brackets with richer carving and
moulded joist ends to upper, left, end.
