9/2 The Fox and Hounds
Public House


Public House. Mid C18 with C19 additions. Brick, later tile hung, old plain tile
roof. 2 bay road front with 3 bay wing to rear at right end and 1-storey C19
extension to left end running backwards. 2 storey with cellar and attic, 2 bay
slightly irregular front. To left of centre top-glazed 4-panel door behind C18
hip-roofed brick porch. To right 4-light, to left 3-light casement and 2-light
casement in extension. Above 2 C19 12-pane sashes. 2 hipped dormers with 2-light
casements. Gable end stacks, that to left set lengthways, roof of extension
hipped. Inside 4m diameter x 1m wooden treadmill for drawing water in C19 extension.
