SU 62 NW BRAMDEAN BROCKWOOD PARK

6/19 Brockwood Park House
5.12.55 (formerly listed as Brockwood
II Park under General)

Medium sized country house. 1769 for Richard Smith, wing added cl774, enlarged
C19 and altered early C20. Brick stuccoed with colourwashed stone dressings,
roofs mainly old plain tile some slated. Large irregular mass of building.
On E-W axis with N entrance front of projecting tall 2 bay Cl9 block with
stuccoed portico arcade, behind sashes with moulded architraves. 3 sashes above
with similar surrounds, and cornice and parapet. To left (E) 3 bay 3 storey,
C18 block of same height, refronted Cl9 with sashes in similar surrounds, and
parapets. Further left single storey C19 and early C20 ranges. To right end,
2 storey, 2 bay late C18 wing, and in C19 refronted with similar surrounde to
windows, moulded long panels above them and parapet.
