SU 6127 BRAMDEAN FOX LANE

13/14 Old Curates House

Row of cottages, now house. C18, remodelled c1950. Brick, part rendered, old
plain tile roof. Building U-shaped with 5 bay earliest part with at right end
gable of later C18 wing. At left end 2 bays added c1800. Central door and
curved hood c1950 copy of those at Bramdean House with bullseye Window in stone
surround with keystone. 8 c1950 Georgian style 12-pane sashes, and 1st floor
string course. To left brick pier then 2 bays with C19 segmental headed 2-light
casements and in one opening C20 glazed door. Right bay is higher with on each
floor larger C18 12-pane sash with rubbed brick head. 1st floor string course
and rendered 1st floor. Roofs hipped with higher eaves to left bay giving it
projecting hip, and roof at left outshot to rear. Large ridge stack to left of
door and small one to right.
