SU 6127 BRAMDEAN MALTHOUSE LANE

13/10 Malthouse Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C16, C17 and C18, and c1920. Timber-frame with brick infill mainly
encased in brick with brick additions. Old plain tile roof. 3 bay timber-frame
with C17 brick and flint bay added to left and in C18 further bay added to left
and 2 bays added to right end. In 1920 S wing added to front of left and centre
C16 bays and wing added to rear at right end. Front 1½ storey, 7 bay, irregular
with door in 3rd bay from right in c1920 porch with outshot to left. C17 2-light
leaded casement to right of door and C19 3-light casement. C20 wing has bow
window on end. C19 doors in left 2 bays. Above C17 bay 2 C20 hipped 2-light
dormers. Above and to right of door 2 C19 hipped 3-light dormers. Steep pitched
hipped roof with large ridge stack to centre of timber-frame part and C19 stacks
on hips. C20 wing has small stack on side wall.
