11/1 North End Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 core, C18 enlarged C19. Timber-frame core, brick with blue headers,
old plain tile roof. T-shaped with surviving timber-frame bay at junction of
ranges, top of T, facing farmyard, C18, and rear range C19 rebuilding of timber-
frame. 2 storey, 4 window range. Doorway approximately central, in timber-frame bay
Wide C18 top lit door, with either side incised render, all under pent roofed
timber porch with posts. To left C19 flush framed 4-pane sash and 1st floor
string-course. To right blocked opening, then straight joint, and in later brick-
work. C19 flush framed sash with segmental head and small blocked opening high up
near right end. On 1st floor above openings, 4 small 4-pane sashes. Roof has
long hip at left. Wide ridge stack left of door and smaller stack between 2 right
windows. Above door small hip of higher rear wing roof.
