8/33 Lower Whiteflood Farmhouse

II

Cottage. C16 refronted C18. Timber-frame with brick encasing and addition, shingled
roof. 1½ storey, 2 bay with added C18 bay to right. C16 building early in C18
encased C18 brick and bay added with central C18 planked door in solid frame with
flat arch. Each side C18 2-light casements in segmental arches. 1st floor string.
Above windows C19 2-light casements with heads in sloping roofed dormers. Right bay
has late C18 2-light segmental headed casement. Roof half-hipped with large ridge
stack, originally external, at right end of timber-frame, and projecting stack on
left hip.
