GV II

L-shaped block of 2 pairs of cottages linked by low service wing. Circa 1880 by
G Devey, altered c1900. Brick with old plain tile roof. On end of front range 2
cottages, with at left end, range of service rooms at right angles, including door to
left cottage, and on end of range cottage now 2 dwellings. Front cottages 1½ storey,
4 bay. Door to left of centre with casement beside, and 3 4-light casements. Above
4, 3 & 4-light casements in hipped wide dormers. Roof half-hipped to right with
stacks in front of ridge at right and between left bays. Service range single storey,
3 bay. Door each end and each side of centre, to left 2, 2-light casements, to
right 4-light casement. Other cottage 1½ storey, 3 bay. Central door with single
casement either side. 2-light casement to left, 4-light to right. 2 4-light
casements with heads in wide hipped dormers, either side of similar 2-light cormer.
Roof half-hipped to left with stack in front of ridge to left of centre. Included
for group value.
